Kim Shepard
Front Desk Manager

Kim moved to Lake Placid in 1980, more than twenty years ago. For her it was love at first sight. After working in the tourist industry in Key West, Florida, she knew that this area offered a welcome change. Discovering that this small village had big potentials, Kim and her husband, Michael, built a home here and had a daughter, Ciaira Rose.

Kim worked at the Lake Placid Hilton for ten years, starting there the day after moving to Lake Placid. After becoming pregnant with her daughter, Kim bought a small business in Wilmington, which she owned and operated for nine years before selling in 1998.

Kim started working for Lake Placid Health and Fitness since day one of operation. She manages the front desk and is head of point of sales. Kim is a certified water safety instructor, (WSI) and is in charge of the American Red Cross, learn to swim program at the fitness center. She is also a certified lifeguard.
