Gym Etiquette-with a few simple reminders everyone can be happy!
*Remember how your mother taught you to share?? Well she knew what she was talking about! Gym equipment is for everyone’s use, so while taking a break between reps hop up and let someone else use the machine.
*Don’t forget your limits! Time limits on cardio equipment that is. A general rule is limiting yourself to 30 minutes on any machine, if you need longer try a different piece of cardio equipment.
*Do you want to share germs with someone else? I didn’t think so! Tote around a towel and wipe off equipment as you go, you may think you don’t sweat but the next person on the machine will know!
*As it is at home so it is at the gym. How so? Are you going to leave towels on the floor at home, toothpaste in the sink, or hair on the counter?? No of course not, so don’t do it at the gym either.
*No shoes, no shirt, no service. It’s for your safety as well as others. Having shoes on will protect you when you trip over the weights that someone left in the aisle. And if you think you need to workout without a shirt, someone else may think differently, please be considerate of the other members.
